Thai Body-Therapy is a dynamic, yet deeply relaxing, form of massage that is practiced on the floor on a padded mat while the recipient remains clothed. Thai Body-Therapy integrates the practice of Yoga, Tai Chi, Ayurveda, the Thai pressure point system (marmas), the Thai energy line system (sen), meditation, metta (compassion), and the Western concepts of medicine. Safety and graceful transitions from one posture to the next are emphasized, while maintaining the quality and therapeutic effects of the postures. In addition to the history, principles, precautions, and benefits of Thai Body-Therapy, participants will be taught a routine in which they will receive essential feedback and evaluation so that they are able to experience and understand the concepts and benefits of Thai Body-Therapy. |
