Anton Aesthetics Academy works like a spa. It has an active advertising program that aims to generate appointments with clients. A steady flow of client appointments is necessary for the completion of hands-on services together with the completion of classes.
DESCRIPTION

Objective

To prepare students to perform professional procedures in skin care and to gain valuable practical experience according to the guidelines set forth by the State of Florida. The program leads to a diploma by the school and qualifies graduate to apply for State registration as a Facial Specialist in the State of Florida.

To obtain knowledge, theory and hands on procedures on skin care, facial treatments with and without the use of machines. Correct procedures in waxing, sanitation and universal facial massage moves.

The requirements for entering are listed under Admission Requirements. There are no additional requirements or prerequisites for this program.

This is a flexible program. Students provide the hours they will attend, in advance. Hours can be increased or decreased with advanced notice to the school. The program can be completed in 7 weeks with full, 40 hour per week participation.

This program is based on hours completed. For the purposes of this program one hour is fifty minutes.

Note
For the purposes of education, the terms Esthetician, Skin Care Professional, Facial Specialist are used interchangeably. The official State of Florida term is FACIAL SPECIALIST.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

THERE IS NO STATE EXAM REQUIRED

A Diploma will be awarded by Anton Aesthetics Academy, Inc. upon completion of the Facial Specialist Program when the following are completed:

1. 260 hours of class instruction with a passing grade.

2. Complete all practicals and clinicals as described under the Facial Specialist program description.

3. Pass the final examination, given by the school, with a minimum passing grade of 75%

4. All tuition fees are paid in full.

5. Meet all other school rules and regulations.

After completion of the required 260 hours, students can registration as a Facial Specialist in Florida. Fees are established by the State of Florida.
TRANSFERABILITY
Upon request Anton Aesthetics Academy will provide transcripts for transferring out of our school. There is no guaranty that the chosen institution to transfer may credit them in whole or in part towards their own program.

Anton Aesthetics Academy, Inc. offers an extended payment plan.
Student must pay fees established by the State of Florida, to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, for registration as a Facial Specialist. At present the fees are $85.00
SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
Anton Aesthetics Academy will supply all students with the necessary tools, equipment, materials, and products needed for this program. Scrubs are provided by the school for $35.00.

Skin 001 Introduction to Clinical Facial Techniques - The nature of aesthetics, skin care and facial techniques.
Skin 002 Pathology of the Skin - Recognizing skin diseases and disorders.
Skin 003 Skin Analysis and Product Knowledge - Identifying skin types and conditions. Basic skin care products and their benefits.
Skin 004 Specialty Facial Treatment - Enzymes Peels, Lactic Peels, Salicylic Peels, Glycolic Peels and Paraffin Mask.
Skin 005 Universal Massage Movements - Manipulative massage movements.
Skin 006 Removal of Superfluous Hair - Understanding the techniques for hair removal, the benefits and risks and how to execute precise hair removal.
Skin 007 Theory and Hands on Facial Procedures - Demonstrating facial techniques and proper procedures on clients.
Skin 008 Use of Skin Care Equipment - Proper procedures with tools that are integrated into the facial experience.
Skin 009 Make-Up Application - Artistic techniques to enhance the clients beauty and to create a look that radiates.
Skin 010 Sanitation and Sterilization - Guidelines for healthcare professionals that cover the safe handling of materials, instruments and equipment.
Skin 011 HIV/Aides - The study of the cause and prevention of aids and the precautions to apply when working with the public.
Skin 012 Florida Statues and Laws - The rules and laws set by the State of Florida.
Skin 013 Business Practice and Marketing - Marketing plans, advertising, promotions and other marketing materials that could generate tremendous revenue.
ACADEMIC EVALUATION
Academic work is evaluated and grades are assigned at the end of each course above in order to determine student's level of performance. A score of 75% or higher is passing grade. Students with poor or failing scores can take the test once more. The grade for the course will be the highest of the two. A student must earn a 75% or better on the average of all courses to take the final.
CLINICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING
All students are required to complete a minimum of 10 hours practical facials, 10 hours practicals related to waxing, 40 hours of clinical facials and 15 hours of clinical waxing prior to graduation as part of their training.
