Objective
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to apply for a license from the Florida Department of Health to work as an Electrolysist in a spa, clinic, beauty salon, or wherever electrology services are offered.
This program trains individuals in the theory and skills of permanent hair removal. The theory portion includes the biological study of the skin and hair, and the modalities of thermolysis, electrolysis, and the blend. Subjects include anatomy, endocrinology, bacteriology, dermatology, sterilization, electricity, follicle insertions and treatment. Students watch demonstrations and practice skills on up-to-date equipment.
This program is based on hours completed. For the purposes of this program one hour is fifty minutes. |

CLINICAL & PRACTICAL TRAINING |
| The electrolysis program includes 200 hours of hands on training including epilations, equipment training, sanitation and sterilization practice, consultations, and other related practice. |
1. 320 hours total including class instruction and practice with a passing grade.
2. Complete all practicals and clinicals as described in the previous section.
3. Pass the final examination, given by the school, with a minimum passing grade of 75%.
4. All tuition fees are up to date.
5. Meet all other school rules and regulations.
Upon completion graduates are prepared to apply for and to take the Florida State exam. |
| Upon request Anton Aesthetics Academy will provide transcripts for transferring out of our school. There is no guaranty that the chosen institution to transfer may credit them in whole or in part towards their own program. |

Integumentary system (Skin & Appendages). The structure and dynamics of hair and skin. |

Circulatory (blood & lymph) and nervous system. Primary functions of the vascular and the circulatory system and the study of the two distinct sub-systems that participate in circulation. |

Endocrine system and related diseases. The endocrine hormone producing glands, their influences over the many other glands, and how disorders and medications effect hair growth. |

Biology of hair growth. The factors involved in hair growth and technical analysis, the intricate structure of the hair follicle and its development. |

Coordination skills with probe holder and tweezers/ forceps on training with single and double handed techniques. |

Insertions. Hands on training in inserting the probe into the hair follicles, paying particular attention to depth of insertion. |

Laser: With a 30 hour continuing education course, Electrologists can perform laser hair removal services in the State of Florida.
Work at Home : An electologist can perform services in their home where zoning allows, after aquiring an establishment license.
Day Spas: Often a quick paced environment that offers opportunity for developing skills to further your career.
Medical Spas: In a medical spa, patients may receive spa services and surgical procedures in a medical setting.
Owner or Manager of a Spa Business: Combine your love of spa services with your management and customer service skills to operate a spa business. |
| Anton Aesthetics Academy will supply all students with the necessary tools, equipment, materials, and products needed for this program. One set of scrubs are provided by the school and are included in the program cost above. |
Academic work is evaluated and grades are assigned at the end of each course above in order to determine student's level of performance. A score of 75% or higher is passing grade. Students with poor or failing scores can take the test once more. The grade for the course will be the highest of the two. A student must earn a 75% or better on the average of all courses to take the school final.
After completion of the required 320 hours, students must the school final. The purpose of the school final is two fold; First, evaluating student performance and second, preparing students for the State final. After completing the school final, student must pass the examination required by section 478.45(2), Florida Statutes. Fees are established by the State of Florida. |
